RV Industry Excitement: Events, Networking Tips, and More!
Greetings, RV rental business owners! This week, I'm gearing up for a series of RV industry events, from the My RV Resource meetup and the RV Content Creators Event to the Fireside RV Rental Retreat and the Tampa RV Show. If you're attending any of these gatherings, reach out—I'd be thrilled to connect! Amidst the hustle of these events, I thought it fitting to offer some valuable networking tips for you to make the most of your time at business gatherings.
Set Clear Goals
Define your objectives for the event, whether it's to make specific connections, gather information, or explore potential partnerships.
Effective Elevator Pitch
Craft a concise and compelling elevator pitch that clearly communicates who you are, what your business does, and what sets you apart.
Active Listening
Focus on listening more than talking. Pay attention to others' conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and show genuine interest in what they have to say.
Utilize Social Media
Connect with attendees on social media platforms before, during, and after the event. Engage in discussions, share insights, and follow up with new connections online.
Be Approachable
Smile, maintain open body language, and be approachable. Creating a friendly and welcoming demeanor makes it easier for others to initiate conversations.
Follow Up Promptly
After the event, follow up with the people you met. Express gratitude for the conversation, reference specific points of discussion, and explore potential collaborations.
Attend Workshops and Sessions
Participate in workshops, panel discussions, and sessions relevant to your industry. It's an excellent way to learn, showcase your expertise, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Build Relationships, Not Just Contacts
Focus on building meaningful relationships rather than just collecting business cards. Quality connections often lead to long-term partnerships and collaborations.
Remember, networking is about building mutually beneficial relationships, so approach it with authenticity and a genuine interest in others. Go into the event and ask yourself how can you serve others.

What’s Happening at Fireside
This week during our bi-weekly meeting our training was all about AI and how we can use it to help in our RV rental businesses. There are so many tools like ChatGPT, MidJourney, and Jaspar AI, that can help you with creating copy and photos for renter manuals, social media posts, blog posts and so much more. Fireside has even recently created a Chatbot called Sparky to help entrepreneurs learn more about our franchise opportunity. You can meet Sparky here.

RV Rental Secrets
Although I didn’t get a new episode posted last week because I was busy moving, there are still plenty of episodes to catch up on here. This coming week you can look forward to a new episode of lessons that I learned in 2023. Make sure to subscribe to RV Rental Secrets on your favorite podcast app to get a notification when a new episode airs.
What I’m Reading
I've recently started "Boss Moves" by Myron Golden, our latest selection for the Firestarter Book Club. Although I'm only a few chapters deep, I'm already drawn to the straightforward concepts it presents. The idea that making more money is easier with higher-priced products, requiring fewer sales to those willing to pay a premium for the provided value, resonates with me. Looking forward to exploring this further while relaxing poolside at the Fireside Retreat in Florida next week! Stay updated on my ventures by connecting with me on Instagram, where I regularly share book recommendations.
As we wrap up this week's newsletter, I'm filled with anticipation for the exciting RV industry events on the horizon. If you'll be attending any of these gatherings, I look forward to the possibility of meeting you and sharing insights within the vibrant community. As you navigate the networking landscape, remember the tips shared earlier—set clear goals, engage actively, and foster meaningful connections. Whether you're at the My RV Resource meetup, the RV Content Creators Event, the Fireside RV Rental Retreat, or the Tampa RV Show, make the most of every opportunity to learn, connect, and elevate your business. Safe travels and successful networking to all our fellow RV entrepreneurs!
